Ministry Supporter Christmas Gift Ideas

If you're anything like me, November rolls around (or sometimes December..) and you panic about what to get for supporters for Christmas, get overwhelmed, do nothing, and say you'll do better next year. I've learned the hard way and I'm here to help. Here are some ideas for good supporter gifts this season:

1. Books
ChristianBook.com always has deals on small books around this time of the year. In the past I've given out "Heaven" and "The Story of Christmas". This is a new one of advent readings that looks good. ($.99-$2.99 each)

2. StuMo Logo Branded Mugs
I've used www.discountmugs.com before. Shipping is expensive so maybe team up with someone else and split an order. If you're fancy, order from Simple Modern and ask Jason for info.

3. StuMo Logo Branded Ornaments
I bought these one year, they are definitely plastic-y but they looked nice.

4. Kids Scripture Memory Verses
I bought these packets for families with kids one year and this book for supporters without kids and asked them to use it to pray for the next generation of college students.

5. Customized Scripture Prayer Rings
This one is more labor intensive, but I made prayer cards for singles, married couples, and kids, made a custom cover with their names on it, and had them printed at a local print shop.
Heres some on amazon

6. Sweet Treats etc.
This year we are doing a hot chocolate kit that includes gourmet hot chocolate packets and marshmallows with a printed card of vision casting questions and scripture to go over as a family/couple/with friends.
We've done fun popcorn (similar to this)

7. Target ornaments
If you go early, target has a decent selection of inexpensive ornaments ($3-$5each)

Best practices:
-Use pirate ship for shipping labels, package them all at home, and take to the post office ready to go. That way you don't make everyone behind you at the post office hate you!
-Get them out right after thanksgiving if possible. Then supporters will see them before your end of the year giving ask letter. I also get a way better response/more thank you texts from supporters when I send them early before the craziness of Christmas.

Would love to hear other ideas and add them to the list :)
